Well, I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ve got some movies I need to watch and maybe a few books I need to read. Gina’s movie sounds like it’s based on some amazing films and one book in particular. Who’s with me?
Earlier today Gina dropped news about her upcoming movie with the Daily Wire on her Instagram. Gina posted a video of a binder that had had just enough information to get the hype up and going.
In the caption Gina wrote:
“I am currently living my dream. Thank you all for the support you’ve shown me all these years. I’m just going to go ahead and keep on going as I have no plans on slowing down.”
As the DW reported:
“Screenwriter and veteran horror writer Eric Red (‘The Hitcher,’ ‘Near Dark’) is basing the script on his novel ‘White Knuckle,’ a story about a Screenwriter and veteran horror writer Eric Red (‘The Hitcher,’ ‘Near Dark’) is basing the script on his novel ‘White Knuckle,’ a story about a long-haul truck-driver who crosses the country murdering women. Carano will star as the one woman who managed to escape him. Traumatized, but haunted by the thought of his future victims, she hires another trucker to help her track him down and end his killing spree.” (The full article can be found here.)
Can we just say one thing? So. Many. Fight scenes. We are HERE for it! According to Robin Pierce of Starburst Magazine, Eric Red is “the successor to Richard Matheson and Robert Bloch.” His high-speed chase on the American highway is just as suspenseful as any modern-day thriller/horror film or book, with plenty of slashing as well as drama from the law enforcement elements. Sounds like we are in for a wild ride. Gina also stated that the film is in the tone of Duel, Breakdown, and True Grit. We’ve got some movies to watch methinks.
If you’ve been paying attention to Gina’s social media, you’ve probably seen some of the incredible landscape shots she’s been posting.
Location scouting? Could be. If it is, this is going to be one beautiful film. We’re so excited for what’s to come and for this movie hitting the DW next year. You have to be subscribed to the DW in order to be able to view her film. The code GINA is still good for 25% off their membership. Don’t be left out and miss the film when it drops. Remember, this is how we fight back––we support independent content creators.
